The Student of the Month for January is Evan Sauve, a Grade 11 student at Essex District High School. Evan is an excellent role model for this month鈥檚 theme of 鈥淐ommunity Building鈥.
Evan is a vital member of the EDHS community and makes a positive impact on the school environment every day. Evan plays an essential role in maintaining the school鈥檚 recycling program. He completes this responsibility with consistency and care, showing great pride in his work and helping to promote environmental awareness within the school community.
What truly sets Evan apart, however, is his kind and welcoming nature. He consistently waves to fellow students in the hallways, giving them a warm smile and making them feel welcome. Additionally, he is always willing to help others, offering assistance, encouragement, or simply a friendly conversation. Evan genuinely enjoys connecting with fellow students, and his lunchtime chats help bring people together and create a sense of belonging. His positive attitude and compassion make others feel seen, valued, and supported. Through his actions, Evan consistently demonstrates what it means to be a community builder. His responsibility, kindness, and ability to foster meaningful connections make him an excellent role model.
